LORD provides fly-by-wire throttle control units (with both FADEC and avionic sensors), integrated auto-throttle quadrants, and auto-throttle modules. We can provide throttle configurations with throttle control sensors, servo-motor modules, auto or passive throttle quadrants and reverse levers with either trigger or piggy-back options available.
LORD provides a full range of fly-by-wire secondary control levers including flap levers and slat levers. All electrical components used are mature components with flying hours for more than 20 years.
LORD speed brake control units, or spoiler levers, are developed with a flexible design approach. With an extensive and capable on-site test facility to support fly-by-wire component development and certification, we work in a collaborative environment with our customers to meet flight control system requirements within the program schedule.
LORD nose wheel steering hand wheels are available for FbW aircraft with functions and options which include: self centering force feel, steering sensors (potentiometers and RVDT), pedal disconnect, hand grip, friction brake, electrical damper, light panel, back drive and electrical soft detent.
LORD engineers work with customers to validate requirements for each FbW side stick application in compliance with ARP6001. Our solutions use RVDTs, potentiometers and resolvers to capture motion and interface with the flight control computer.
LORD provides FbW electrical pedal units, rudder pedal sensors, pedal dampers and friction units. Further, we participate on the SAE A6 committee for ARP 6252 - "Rudder and Brake Pedal Unit General Requirements for Fly by Wire Transport and Business Aircraft" - and have a comprehensive knowledge of certification requirements.
