Flight Control Equipment Contact Us

LORD Electromechanical Solutions provides customers around the world with innovative flight control system offerings. From best-in-class cockpit controls and inceptors to electromechanical actuators - our solutions put pilot commands into motion. Our extensive experience in commercial fixed wing FbW flight control systems and our innovative active vibration control sytems in helicopters combine to make us a great partner for providing advanced flight control interfaces for aerospace applications.

Where are LORD Electromechanical Solutions Currently Used?

LORD electromechanical solutions can be found on aircraft manufactured by Airbus, Dassault Aviation, IAI, Leonardo Aircraft, and Bombardier. LORD is both an OEM and MRO solution provider - if you are owner or operator of one of these platforms, please visit our MRO Services page.

LORD cockpit controls and inceptors provide functional and ergonomic interfaces between pilots and various aircraft fly-by-wire systems (flight control, engine control, landing gear systems). LORD flight control inceptors can be tailored to sidestick or yoke based layouts.

LORD provides electromechanical actuators (EMA) for both flight control and utility applications, as well as applications where hydraulic actuation is currently more prevalent, such as spoilers and landing gear operations.

LORD flight control sensors provide FbW systems position or load status with redundancy and reliability. Beyond flight control sensors, LORD also has a broad aerospace sensing product line, including Inertial Navigation Systems (INS), wireless sensor networks and rugged sensors for commercial spaceflight.

LORD electrical dampers for flight control systems provide artificial force feel to pilots relative to pilot speed change; reducing pilot-induced oscillations (PIO) and slowing inadvertent moves. Our engineers work with each customer to create requirements and can even add dampers late in the program.
